Perhaps the only thing more criminal than the assassination of Fred Hampton would be to forgo reading "The Assassination of Fred Hampton." Never before has a book managed to be as inspiring as it is a cautionary tale; a young civil rights leader was killed in his sleep by the FBI & the Chicago PD, and people need to know that history. Painstakingly researched and full of memorable quotes from the Panther Party leader himself, this book is a must read.
