velvet Rope economy, nelson schwartzSt. Louis County Library presents New York Times business reporter Nelson D. Schwartz.

New York Times business reporter Nelson D. Schwartz investigates the virtual velvet rope that divides Americans in nearly every realm of daily life. On one side of the rope, for a price, red tape is cut, appointments are secured, and doors are opened. On the other side, middle- and working-class Americans fight to find an empty seat on the plane, a college acceptance, or a hospital bed.

Presented by the Westfall Politics & History Series.

This event is presented by the St. Louis County Library. For more information, please call 314-994-3300.
