St. Louis Public Library - Schlafly Branch
Left Bank Books and the St. Louis Public Library welcome bestselling author Augusten Burroughs, who will sign and discuss his memoir, Lust & Wonder!
Picking up where Dry left off, Augusten Burroughs, with his signature wit, candor, and unique observations, chronicles the development and demise of three major relationships: Mitch, a famous author Augusten dates fresh out of rehab; Dennis, his life and business partner of ten years; and Christopher, his literary agent and now husband. Along the way, he describes the jubilation of selling his first novel, experimenting with Adderall, and nearly going bankrupt buying precious stones on the internet. Burroughs shows us his heart in Lust & Wonder, and examines what it means to be in love, what it means to be in lust, and what it means to be figuring it all out.
"In an era of tedious oversharing, the memoirist who wrote two of the genre’s defining titles reminds us yet again why he is an unstoppable force.” —Booklist, starred review
This event is free and open to the public, but proof of purchase of at least one of Burroughs's titles from Left Bank Books will be required to enter the signing line.
