Ellen Datlow, Bradley Denton, Ann Leckie & Mark TiedemannLeft Bank Books, Archon, and the Brentwood Public Library present the second annual Archon Authors Science Fiction Panel featuring Ellen Datlow, Bradley Denton & Ann Leckie, moderated by Mark Tiedemann!

Ellen Datlow has been editing science fiction, fantasy, and horror short fiction for over 35 years as fiction editor of OMNI Magazine and editor of Event Horizon and SCIFICTION. She currently acquires short fiction for In addition, she has edited more than ninety science fiction, fantasy, and horror anthologies, including the annual The Best Horror of the Year, Lovecraft’s Monsters, and Fearful Symmetries, among others. Forthcoming are Children of Lovecraft, Nightmares: A New Decade of Modern Horror, and Black Feathers.

Bradley Denton was born in Wichita, Kansas, in 1958. He is the author of five novels, including Blackburn, and two short story collections. Bradley’s fiction has received multiple Hugo, Stoker, Edgar, World Fantasy, and Nebula Award nominations, and has won Campbell, World Fantasy, and Sturgeon awards. He lives on the outskirts of Austin, Texas.

Ann Leckie is the author of the Hugo, Nebula, and Arthur C. Clarke Award winning novel Ancillary Justice. She has also published short stories in Subterranean Magazine, Strange Horizons, and Realms of Fantasy. Her story “Hesperia and Glory” was reprinted in Science Fiction: The Best of the Year, 2007 Edition edited by Rich Horton. Ann has worked as a waitress, a receptionist, a rodman on a land-surveying crew, and a recording engineer. She lives in St. Louis, Missouri.

Mark W. Tiedemann began publishing science fiction stories professionally after attending the Clarion Workshop in 1988. He has subsequently published over fifty short stories, numerous reviews and essays, and ten novels. Compass Reach was shortlisted for the Phillip K. Dick Award in 2002 and Remains for the James Tiptree Jr. Award in 2006. He served on the board of the Missouri Center for the Book for nine years, five as president, during which time he oversaw the creation of the Missouri State Poet Laureate post. He is a lifelong resident of St. Louis and works part time for Left Bank Books.
