We love to have new and different voices in our book discussion group! There is no sign-up needed and no commitment to come to every meeting. Read what you like and come when you can (although it is nice to have regulars :o). We have a core group of 4-5 people who come regularly and a few more almost-regulars who come as they can.
We are (mostly) writers who get together once a month to discuss some book (or selections from a book) from a craft perspective; you don't have to be a writer to attend, of course! We read a wide variety from classics to writers on writing to young adult to poetry, though I'd say that contemporary literary fiction is our main focus. We do regular book group talk - who liked what and why, etc. - but we try to focus on techniques and what we can take from these writers and apply to our own work. It is generally a very good time!
Our regular meeting time is the last Saturday of each month at 4PM at Left Bank Books in the Central West End. (We do not meet in November and December.)
