What’s in the trunk of your car?: At the moment, public trans is more my style, but if I had a car, I'm sure the trunk would be full of books and magazines.  That's usually what you'd find in my purse.

What’s your favorite memory?: Memorizing Lewis Carroll's "The Walrus and the Carpenter" with my aunt and brother one summer when I was about 10-years-old.  My brother always makes me laugh and every time we would get to the lines "No birds were flying overhead,/There were no birds to fly," he would accidentally (or on purpose) say "No birds, no birds to fly."  To this day I have most of the poem memorized and it is one of my favourites.

Who would play you in a movie?: Eartha Kitt, hands down, although that's not really possible anymore.
Using only one word, describe yourself.: Anachronistic.  I once told a professor that I started reading Emily Dickinson avidly at the age of 9.  He responded, "That explains a lot."
Author you love to hate: JRR Tolkien or JK Rowling.  Mostly because everyone hates me for hating them.  It's not that I have bad taste, it's just that one puts me to sleep (trust me I've tried multiple times) and the other lost me at book five, respectively.
Theme song to your life: At the moment, "Brave" by Sara Bareilles, although it changes at least monthly.  Last month it was "Fight Like a Girl" by Emilie Autumn.
What's your favorite smell?: Eucalyptus.
Favorite pair of shoes (past or present): My sparkly gold pinup pumps.  Although I rarely wear them, they are perfect and I love them.

What’s your sign?: Libra, and it's pretty apropos

Humorous and a great overview of the life of one of the greatest minds of the 20th century, Einstein is a graphic jaunt through both the scientist's world and work. A good introduction to his theories and ideas, this will be an enjoyable read for any readers of memoir comics or for older children. -Mariah's June Staff Pick, 2016

From the beginning of his collection (with "Too Old to Trick-or-Treat, Too Young to Die"), Manderino aptly tells stories that show that the real monsters are ourselves. From stories about monsters that seem all too human to stories about humans that seem all too monstrous (or in some cases transform into monsters), this collection was a delight to read. Manderino's sense of humour is on point. Recommended for readers of short stories, horror, and Miranda July or Kelly Link fans. Mariah's June Staff Pick 2016
