The newest Left Bank Books reading group will be meeting at our Downtown store (321 N 10th St) the last Thursday of each month, from 6:00-8:00pm.

It's a knitting/reading group where a new book will be chosen each month for 20% discount. The group is called "A Good Yarn" and it's completely open to new members who want to relax, knit and talk about books. Even if someone's never knitted before, but feels like seeing what it's like, they should feel free to come to the meeting. The first meeting will be March 25, 6pm at the downtown store. The first meeting will not be focused on a book (since two weeks probably isn't enough time for a whole book to read) but attendees or those interested in attending will receive 10% off of any of our knitting magazines at either store.

In conjunction with creating a nice relaxing place to knit and talk books, Left Bank Books will donate any unwanted finished projects to homeless shelters downtown (i.e. scarves, baby blankets, etc.)! The April book selection will be Knit One, Kill Two by Maggie Sefton. We'll have copies of the book in by the first meeting at 20% off. The wine bar next door will be open, so come by for a glass of wine, knit and talk about books!
